Houston, Discovery has landed...7:12 AM this morning, in California. They were greeted with the reply "welcome home, friends" by Mission Control in Houston. Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief when they passed the point where Columbia exploded and nothing happened. By the way, they were traveling at 14,000 miles per hour. Makes fast cars almost seem insignificant.
